Walter Beebe

Walter Beebe is a principal founder of the The Open Center. In addition to leading The Open Center for 35 years, he has five children and eight grandchildren, practiced corporate and nonprofit law for 40 years and serves on multiple Board of Directors. During his undergraduate years at Harvard University, Paul Tillich was one of his teachers and set him on a path of searching for deeper understanding and actualization, both within and outside of traditional modes, that continues to this day.

Jeffrey Gitterman

Jeffrey Gitterman is a co-founding partner of Gitterman Wealth Management, and a thought leader in the field of Sustainable, Impact and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Investing. He is the author of Beyond Success: Redefining the Meaning of Prosperity and an Associate Producer of the feature documentary film, Planetary. Jeffrey also serves on the Board of Directors for the Child Health Institute of New Jersey at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical and dedicates much of his free time to raising funds and awareness for the autism community.

Ross Guttler

Ross Guttler is Chief Executive Officer of The Open Center, the country’s longest-running urban center for personal growth and spiritual practice. Throughout his time with The Open Center, Guttler has led the evolution of a four decade-old New York City institution into a global changemaker with an engaged audience from more than 180 countries. After a career in wellness real estate, exploring how the built environment makes us healthier, happier, kinder and more creative, Ross found his calling at The Open Center, where wisdom traditions and spiritual practices, balanced with modern day medical and behavioral science, art and sound, are used to help us live more harmoniously with ourselves, each other and the earth. Prior to joining The Open Center, Guttler was Chief Operating Officer for Global Treehouse, a Tokyo-based startup combining meditation, creativity, collaboration and problem solving for large corporate clients. Michael Horst

Michael Horst has always been a real estate consultant, educator and developer. He was Senior Vice President and Senior Resident Fellow for Leadership at the Urban Land Institute (ULI) in Washington, DC whose mission is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide. Michael is also the co-founder of the Shenoa Retreat and Learning Center, a Key Leader at ULI, and a Governor (Developer level) of the ULI Foundation. He has created and taught multi-disciplinary classes at Harvard, UC Berkeley, and UCLA and was an Adjunct (Full) Professor at the University of Southern California. Michael also serves on the Capital Campaign of the Harvard Graduate School of Design and the Loeb Fellowship Alumni Council.

Mia Kyricos

As President & Chief Love Officer™ of Kyricos & Associates LLC, a strategic advisory and referral firm, Mia advances the trillion-dollar business of wellness by activating Ecosystems of Wellbeing™ that span both commercial and internal business interests. Previously, she was Senior Vice President & Global Head of Wellbeing for the Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Chief Brand Officer for Spafinder Wellness, Inc. and Vice President of the workplace wellness division at EXOS. Recently named the Leading Woman in Wellness, and Cornell University’s Alumna of the Year, her work and expertise has been featured in The New York Times, LA Times, Skift, Smart Money, Hotel Business, Travel Weekly, Market Watch and more.  MORE

John Miller

John D. Miller is Chief Investment Officer of W.P. Carey Inc. and the W.P. Carey Foundation. He was President and CEO of Equitable Capital, President of Rothschild Ventures and a founder of StarVest Partners, a tech venture fund. He serves on the boards of The Open Center, Tibet House of New York and the Temple of Understanding. He has been a vegetarian and meditator since 1972. He was among the first U.S. students of Gurudev Shri Chitrabhanu, the first Jain monk to leave India and bring the Jain teachings to the West. John traveled extensively in India with Chitrabhanu in the 1970s. In recent years, he has studied the Vedas with Manorana and Buddhism with Robert Thurman. He grew up in Salt Lake City and skied for the University of Utah where he received a B.S. degree. He has an MBA from the University of Santa Clara.
