ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
A One-Day Workshop
Saturday, December 4, 2021, 10:00 am – 5:30 pm ET
Please join us for this fun yet informative workshop introducing Classical Chinese herbal medicine and the Taoist Healing Arts. Chinese Medicine is governed by the universal principles of balance and harmony expressed in The Tao.
This workshop includes an overview of the history of Chinese Medicine and Taoism. Each student will be introduced to the basic terms and concepts: Five Element, Qi, Jing, Shen and the immune system, and TCM terminology, We will discuss the 4-Constitutions as they relate to excess and deficiencies, tongue and pulse indications, specific food, herbs, recipes and tea for each of the constitutions.
In addition, we will introduce the basic concepts of Taoism and the 5 – Element Theory as it relates to our emotions, our organ systems, the taste of food, different colors, and diagnosis. Moreover, we will introduce the basic movements of Tai Qi and Qi Kung, and each student will receive a tongue diagnosis.
Note: This program will now be offered online. It will be recorded and shared with registrants after each online program for three months (90 days).
Note: This program is part of the Traditional Chinese Healing Arts Towards a Health Coach Certification, Part 1, the 5-month training. If you decide to join the training after attending this one-day program, we will deduct the amount paid for this workshop from the overall training fee. For information on the full program refer to our website. This one-day workshop can also just be taken for informational purposes without further commitment.
