ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
An Evening Event
Tuesday, October 12, 6:30 – 8:00 pm ET
This program can also be taken as part of the 3-week series Qigong Foundations: Health, Energy, Resilience  (10/12, 10/19, 10/26) – Click HERE to register.
Learn the details of posture, movement and breathing upon which all qigong is based and how to change unhealthy habits to good ones. By practicing Standing Meditation (Zhan Zhuang), you learn proper alignment, how to take stress off the joints, and how to root into the ground like a tree. Then practice meditative walking for balance, grace, coordination and to find stillness within movement. What about the qi, the life energy? This is naturally gathered in the body’s energy reservoir, the dan tian, as you free the diaphragm and rediscover how to breathe as deeply and effortlessly as a child.
