Healing With Acupressure
By Open Center Staff
Along these channels, there are key “acupoints,” or focal points along specific locations on these energetic pathways that, if stimulated in the correct manner, can help regulate and balance the body, mind and spirit.
One of the most popular acupressure points is the Joining Valley LI 4 because it works wonders on so many different ailments: headaches, migraines, sore throats, eye strain, mouth pain or tooth aches, neck pain and digestive issues.
To find it, spread your hand wide. It’s in the middle of the triangular web between the thumb and index finger, where you feel tenderness when you squeeze it. Once you find it, apply pressure for 30 to 60 seconds.
William J. Kaplanidis, LAc, MS, MA, a licensed acupuncturist with 30 years’ experience in several healing and martial arts, developed the Acudragon® Wellness System to rapidly and safely assist people on their path to healing and transformation. He has helped thousands through his individual treatment sessions in his private practice in NYC and his many classes.
