ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

This is Part 1 of the Body of Breath: Breathwork Facilitator Training which consists of three parts. Parts 1 & 2 can be taken as individual classes. Click HERE for complete training information.
This program is designed for all levels from novice to advanced practitioner of breathwork. Establish a foundational practice and learn essentials of breathing and its effects on physical, mental and subtle states of your personal awareness. Each practice will give you the opportunity to understand breathwork theory, movement inquiries designed to bring your attention to the specific and subtle way the body opens with breath, and guided practices designed to focus your mind on adapting breath. You will be encouraged to take the guidance to adapt your personal dail-y practices of breathwork and mindfulness in action.
Who this is for: All levels are welcome. If you experience medical symptoms or a diagnosis that may need adaptation from the instructor, please address this in the Breathwork Client Intake form that is requested upon registration.
Accreditation: 12 CEUs available through Yoga Alliance through Seaside Yoga
Note: This program will be offered online. Sessions of all our online programs will be recorded and shared with registrants after each is completed for 90 days.
what you’ll learn
- Understand the basics of breathwork as a personal practice to balance the nervous system, create mental focus and affect the physical body’s natural defense mechanisms.
- With twice weekly sessions, establish consistency with your approach to practice and modify your breathwork experiences based on present time awareness.
- Understand a multidimensional body approach using the tools of breathwork, movement inquiry and guided focal point awareness.
- Experience integration through journaling prompts and mindfulness action plans that will give you the power to take greater responsibility for your moment by moment choices.
- You will learn how to adapt your breathing to influence, gain and balance more energy and manage symptoms of anxiety, depression and mental fog.

You may also take each part separately. Or get a discount for registering for the full training. Certificate of Completion of the Body of Breath Level 1 Facilitator is received upon completion of levels 1-3 and additional requirements stated in Body of Breath: Breathwork Facilitator Training description.

Ashley Ludman is a breathwork therapist and educator. Graduating with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 1995, her experience in neurotrauma and acute care rehabilitation informs her current offerings. In 2001, she opened Seaside Yoga, in Wilmington, NC, while training Yoga teachers and specializing in Yoga Therapeutics. In 2010, relocated to Nosara, Costa Rica, where she now lives and offers Breathwork Facilitator Training Programs both through the distance and at the edge of the Pacific Ocean.
