ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
In a speech on the night before he was assassinated, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. prophesied, “I might not get there with you, but I want you to know tonight that we as a people will get to the promised land.”
This sentiment serves as a stark reminder of the ways in which freedom for Black, Latinx, Asian and LGBTQ people have been delayed – and, given recent events, it is easy for us to question what, if anything, we can do to enact change.
If we heed the words of Dr. King, the power is in our togetherness. Whether marching in the streets, or channeling our energetic activism right from our own living rooms, WE have the power to help us realize what Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed of.
Join us Monday, January 18th at 11am EST to harness that very spirit of togetherness through a special guided meditation, led by The Open Center’s Tim Simonson, to attune our spirits to Dr. King’s message and vision for a just America.
We will look ahead to the inauguration of President Biden and Vice President Harris and channel our collective energy – not only for a peaceful transition of power and successful new administration – but for the good of our country and society at large.
Note: This program will be offered online. Sessions of all our online programs will be recorded and shared with registrants after each is completed for 90 days.
