How did you become interested in this line of work? (tell us a little bit about your background)
I’ve always been interested in meditation and healing, but it was my theatre background that gave me the initial means to explore character and human behavior. To create a character, you have to explore what motivates them to do what they do. I have a natural curiosity as to what keeps us in our patterns of behavior and how we can be free from those constrictions. There is nothing more interesting than observing someone’s internal struggle and what motivates them as they navigate life.
I have a BFA in drama from NYU’s Tisch Schools of the Arts, and studied at the Lee Strasberg school of acting. After graduation I spent years doing not-for-profit theatre and took on a study of movement, yoga and personal training. My curiosity expanded into learning about how the body holds tension and how our issues physicalize. Healing is the natural compliment to that work, and I became a Reiki Master and began to study a number of different modalities. VortexHealing® is the one I felt most aligned with as it provided such insight into issues along with practical results.

Please share a wellness tip or word of advice that relates to the workshop you will be presenting.
Notice the magic that is all around you. We get caught up in managing the moment, and lose our appreciation for what is available to us and the support that is being offered on every level.
An issue is anything that keeps you out of being present on every level: physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual. As we clear our issues we can become more aware of the magic that is happening all around us. This is the extraordinary gift of presence. At its heart, VortexHealing® works with those issues and supports the process of coming back to the present moment.
What or who inspires you? (This could be anything from your mentor to your favorite quote)
I find myself inspired by innocence. I don’t mean naiveté, but rather the place where we open to wonder and magic. It is a place where the heart has never learned to doubt, worry or guard itself. You see it in children, you see it in those cute animal videos we all enjoy watching and you see it in people coming together to help each other without fear. Creativity, love and joy can express through this kind of open heart.
What personal or professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
I am grateful for the opportunity to offer VortexHealing® classes and be a teacher within this magical lineage. At times it can be an incredible challenge, but it also allows me to work with a wonderful, international community.
It is a true gift to feel that you are being used to your fullest. I am grateful to be working in a way that I am continuously challenged but, at the same time, also very supported.
