Meet the Teacher: Mama Donna Henes
How did you become interested in this line of work? (tell us a little bit about your background)
I was born to fulfill my destiny. I feel as though I am picking up from where I left off last time round–continuing my shamanic heritage from preceding lives. When I was 30 I received a major vision that I think of as my assignment from the Universe. and I have never strayed from this path.
Please share a wellness tip or word of advice that relates to the workshop you will be presenting.
Energy goes where you send it.
Remember: Worrying is like praying for what you don’t want! So look up!
What or who inspires you? (This could be anything from your mentor to your favorite quote)
My favorite quote is attributed to “An elderly African American woman.”
She said: “If the mountain were smooth, we couldn’t climb it.”
What personal or professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
My “Chant for Peace: Chance for Peace” was recorded with 100 participants at my public Winter solstice ceremony in 1982. It was uplinked to a satellite and has been orbiting ever since. The only peace message in space!
