Spotlight on Jan Booth, AOD Faculty Facilitator:


Jan Booth MA, RN,
has worked as a nurse for many years at the intersection of quality of life and end of life, as a hospice/palliative care nurse and as an end-of-life coach and educator. She serves as faculty for the International Nurse Coach Association and the Conscious Dying Institute, and is the author of Re-Imagining the End-of-Life: Self-Development & Reflective Practices for Nurse Coaches.


Jan Booth is the Integrative Thanatology Certificate Training Facilitator. She will offer student support, counsel, community building ideas and creative collaborations. She will develop assignments and practices throughout the program including mid-term and final assignments. The facilitator will also be available for online/telephone advice and mentorship as well as creating opportunities for group meetings and creative collaborations outside the class—including study groups.

Spotlight on Silvia Nakkach, SMI Program Facilitator:

Silvia Nakkach, MA, MMT, is a Grammy® nominated composer and a pioneer in the field of sound and consciousness transformation. A sought-after educator, vocal artist, author and a former music psychotherapist, Silvia has served on the faculty of the California Institute of Integral Studies where she created the premier certificate program on Sound, Voice and Music in the Healing Arts offered by a major academic institution. She is also the founding director of the International Vox Mundi School of the Voice.

For more than 30 years, Silvia studied North Indian classical music under the direction of the late Maestro Ali Akbar Khan and various masters of the Art of Dhrupad singing. She is the author of Free Your Voice (Sounds True). Silvia has released 15 CDs and her music draws upon elements from contemporary avant-garde to ancient Indian ragas. She travels extensively and resides in the San Francisco Bay area. As program facilitator of the Sound and Music Institute Silvia works closely with the students throughout the course of the program.

Peeka Trenkle holds a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. With 40 years of experience as an intuitive healer, herbalist and homeopathic consultant, her deep interest lies in the integration of spiritual and physical healing and how our relationship with the natural world affects our well-being.

Spotlight on Lead Presenters Drew DiVittorio, Richard Anton Diaz & Jessica Mullins:

Drew DiVittorio, Dipl, is a nutritional consultant who maintains a private practice in Chinese Medicine and the Taoist Healing. He is currently the founder and primary instructor at the New York Institute of Herbal Medicine & Nutrition, a one-year professional training program in classical Chinese herbology and nutrition. Drew was an adjunct associate professor at the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute for 10 years, is currently on the teaching staff at the The Open Center, and teaches in the Green Medicine program. Richard Anton Diaz
is the director and co-founder of the Traditional Chinese Healing Arts Academy, a certified teacher in the Universal Tao system founded by Master Mantak Chia and a professional Health Coach and Practitioner certified with the Trinity School of Natural Health. He is the North American representative for Alphay, a Chinese-based world leader in organic medicinal mushrooms that are formulated in the Five Element system of Traditional Chinese Medicine for health, longevity and spiritual development. Jessica Mullins is a clinical herbalist, trained in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Herbalism; she is also a Reiki practitioner. Her other trainings include Cannabis Materia Medica; Wilderness First Aid; Depression, Anxiety, Autism and much more.
