How did you become interested in this line of work? (tell us a little bit about your background)

As described in my book, Sacred Knowledge, my interest was awakened as a graduate student in Germany in 1963 as a volunteer in early psychedelic research in the context of studies in both religion and psychiatry.

So-called “personal or spiritual development” for most of us, with or without the assistance of psychedelics, is a gradual process, requiring discipline, courage and occasionally some playfulness.

What or who inspires you? (This could be anything from your mentor to your favorite quote)

Karl Jaspers: “Man is fundamentally more than he knows or ever can know of himself” (applies to women too!)

What personal or professional accomplishments are you most proud of?

Being with an incredible variety of individual people in the role of a psychedelic researcher and therapist, each encounter meaningful and sacred.
