Roger Jahnke, OMD, is the founder and CEO of Health Action Synergies and the director and chief instructor of the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi in Santa Barbara, California. As the author of The Healer Within, Roger has dedicated his entire professional life to sharing the powerful ancient healing traditions that come from China. He is the co-founder and recent chairperson of the board of the National Qigong Association.
Rodrigo Gonzalez is a teacher, dancer and choreographer with over 25 years of experience in the world of dance. As a graduate of the National Center of Contemporary Dance, Rodrigo also has a degree in Specialty Orientation and Human Development from the Humanist Institute for Gestalt Psychotherapy and is trained in Dance Therapy and Psycho-Physical Therapy. Rodrigo is the first certified facilitator of JourneyDance™ in Mexico and a JourneyDance Module 1 and 2 Teacher Trainer.
Joan White-Hansen is a JourneyDance Module 1 and Module 2 teacher trainer, art enrichment educator and circus artist living in Burlington, Vermont. Joan loves opening the
gateway for others to discover joy in the awakening of their own divine and most authentic selves. As a lover of dance, yoga, play, art and people, Joan is an adventurer of the inner and outer landscapes and aspires to inspire others while creating sacred space in her dance classes and other events.
Basia Blonska is a classically trained flutist and has been a professional musician for over 20 years. She received her MA in music performance. Her passion for music expanded beyond performing and teaching, as she developed profound interest in learning about healing and transformational affects of sound and music.
Catharine DeLong is a certified music-thanatologist, tending to the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of palliative patients with her harp and voice. She provides music-thanatology sessions, as well as chaplaincy services to hospice patients in Salt Lake City. Catharine provides remote music sessions for isolated and underserved patients in Wisconsin, Alabama, and NYC. She shares music as a means of helping individuals and their loved-ones experience death as a natural passage. As an end-of-life educator Catharine also participates in events related to climate thanatology.

E.H. Rick Jarow, PhD, has transformed the way the world thinks about their work, purpose and vocation. As the pioneer of the anti-career movement and author of Creating the Work You Love, he has helped thousands open to their intuition, transform their values into action and answer their true calling. In the last few years, Rick’s work has centered around the art and science of manifestation (as offered in his book and workshop, The Alchemy of Abundance). Similar to his work in career and vocation, these teachings transcend overly simplistic approaches. They dive deeper – into the alchemical possibilities of loving what is, recognizing your greater purpose and moving towards your own healed vision, on both an individual and a cultural level. He is Associate Professor of Religion at Vassar College. Rick has been a “spiritual ambassador,” sharing the teachings offered to him by Neem Karoli Baba, Ramdass, Bhaktivedanta Swami, Roshi Richard Hart, Swami Jnanananda Giri, Cuban Shaman Orestes Valdes and the adept Sripad Baba. His new book, The Cloud of Longing is published by Oxford University Press and his upcoming book, Inner Economy: The Teachings of El, will be out shortly.
Faith Adiele, a graduate of Harvard College, is a renowned memoir writer and a pioneering Black travel writer. Named as one of Marie Claire Magazine’s “Five Women to Learn From, Faith is the author of the memoir Meeting Faith, an account of becoming Thailand’s first Black Buddhist nun that won the PEN Open Book Award. Her media writing credits include the HBO-Max limited series, A World Of Calm, a new series co-produced by Calm and HBO, with narration from Idris Elba, Nicole Kidman, Lucy Liu, Kate Winslet and others. Her many other projects include My Journey Home, a PBS documentary about finding a family. Her essays appear in numerous anthologies, including four volumes of Best Women’s Travel Writing. Faith founded the nation’s first writing workshop for travelers of color through VONA/Voices and teaches and lectures on inclusive travel writing. Faith lives in Oakland and teaches at California College of the Arts, and the San Francisco Writers Grotto.
Jean McClelland is a 30-year senior teacher of the Alexander Technique, certified by the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) and the American Center for the Alexander Technique (ACAT). Jean received her B.A. from Vassar College and did graduate study at Boston University in opera and vocal performance. She studied extensively at the Carl Stough Institute for Breathing Coordination and is one of fewer than a dozen people personally selected by Stough to teach his work. As a performer, Jean appeared in the Broadway production of Camelot and at Paper Mill Playhouse, Bardavon Opera House, Bergen Performing Arts Center and the Reagle Music Theater of Greater Boston. She originated the role of Jane/Aeola in Wallace and Allen Shawn’s The Music Teacher and has played leading roles in The Music Man, Guys and Dolls, My Fair Lady, Show Boat, The Marriage of Figaro, A Little Night Music, The Pirates of Penzance, Silk Stockings, The Boy Friend and The Gondoliers.
Jean is on the faculty of the MFA Acting program at Columbia University. She has been a member of the faculty of The Open Center since 1986 and a guest lecturer in the music department of William Paterson University since 1991. She has given workshops at drama and music schools, universities, and holistic learning centers throughout the country including New York University, Vassar College, Rutgers University, American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT), American Center for the Alexander Technique (ACAT), Stevens Institute, Rowe Conference Center, Cambridge Center for Adult Education, the Community Music Center of Boston and the Association of Voice Pathologists. Jean is a member of Actors’ Equity Association and continues to perform in concert with her husband, pianist and composer Bill McClelland.
Glen Velez is a 4-time Grammy winning master drummer, founding father of the modern frame drum movement, and Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame Inductee. Glen is regarded as a pioneer in music for healing with his groundbreaking recordings Rhythms of the Chakras (Sounds True). Glens artistic innovations and 40-year research into the 5,000-year-old history of frame drums have opened new possibilities for musicians around the globe. Glen is an adjunct Professor at The Juilliard School and Mannes College of Music.
Eileen Moran, Sound and Music Institute alumnus, is a certified therapeutic sound practitioner, director of programs at You Can Thrive! Foundation and founder of Architects of Experience, a retreat and event production company. She co-created the monthly practicum lab for the Integrative Sound and Music certificate program at The New York Open Center with Chris Cherney and is now a course coordinator. For nearly two decades Eileen has been studying and practicing healing arts modalities around the world. Her specialty is creating a conscious community by curating immersive programming with therapeutic sound, botanical medicine, meditation, yoga, integrative therapies and movement. An aromatherapist, Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra meditation teacher, herbalist and event producer, Eileen is a GWU Business School graduate and has studied with masters of sonotherapy and curanderas in Mexico at the Universidad Intercultural del Estado de México (UIEM).
